Geezus, doesnt Kory (or his resellers) warn you guys when you buy his hotter tuning?

No stock Allison is immune from damage at that tuning level no matter who the tuner is.
I put 80,000 on my lml on the 200 tune from Kory then did trans tune, stroker cp3, 475 over stock pushing 55 psi on stock tran. Converter was what failed first. Swapped a 1057 in then truck was stolen so not sure how long would have lasted but was still shifting good. Good trans tune that raises pressure at wot throttle and good convertor and they will go a while. Had 140,000 miles.

77,000 miles on her sofar, but don't drive it hard on a daily basis most often she stays on 150 tune, but if it fails, I'll put a custom tranny in her, next upgrade will be twin turbos and cp3 conversion

That's all fine and well, but don't be telling these guys that it's perfectly ok to run 200+hp through a stock transmission because you and your buddies think it's ok. You and your friends are already tearing shit up and don't know it yet.
To the OP if you delete keep everything stock intact, just turned off. Keep in mind if you plan on trading in your truck keep the stock exhaust. That's like 10k or some shit to have a dealer stick back on or if you get flagged and have to put it back. Lift pumps are a good idea for sure, 200hp tuned and all that bs not so much..better start saving money now cause your gonna pay to play, like everybody else.
My 2 cents, end rant

I will say this, if you can't afford to drop 5k at any time on your truck don't even delete till out of warranty.

With the truck still in warranty, don't touch the computer. If it shows any mod in its history, the complete powertrain warranty is done. Just do simple bolt-ons. CAI, filter back exhaust, downpipe, and some heat blankets.

If you have to tune, pick up a spare computer and tune it. I was reading that Idaho-Rob has some tunes that leave emissions intact, they even make it regen less often. That way if you need to have dealer work, or a smog check, you don't have to put everything back on.

The lml Tcm will practically let it come apart and won't limp. Doesn't mean bad things aren't happening if it doesn't limp

Just checked with Logan at PPEI, the tranny will still go into limp mode especially if it detects slippage with there tcm, also says they haven't heard of any blown stock transmission with the tcm tune under 650hp at the wheels unless you are driving it irresponsibly and have an old wore-out transmission with high miles. they do recommend a new torque converter if you are planning over 650 HP

Never said it was perfectly okay, each person that wants to delete their truck needs to do some research, I'm just saying I haven't had any problems with mine, and if parts start to fail I'll get her fixed, still beats having all of the emissions crap on it and still ends up at the dealership for warranty that takes them for ever to figure out.

Won't go in limp mode when the converter is slipping, but you'll know when it's ready to go out.

I'm not telling you not to do it. It's your truck. Set it on fire and push it off a cliff for all I care. Just don't tell people it's okay to do. This isn't Facebook.

Also the 16 trans are a little weaker than the earlier lml.

Again, never said to the op its OK to delete your truck, he asked for suggestions and I gave him mine, just like some are saying keep it stock and enjoy the warranty, I'm sure he old enough to make his own decision, but he's just asking and there's no wrong to that

Maybe I'm mistaken but I was fairly certain they pulled a couple clutches to help with heat.

This is the exact reason I won't let ppei tune any of my personal trucks or my customers. Kory can care less if your transmission fails. Seen it multiple times.

Its the way you say it....that your experience is "normal" when everybody and their brother with any experience here knows its not. Newbies dont know that yet.

I used to include a "disclaimer" when I posted about maxing out my LB7, just in case some newbie thought he could do the same things I was doing and he'd get the same result. I would hope you could do the same. Thanks.

Don't think so. Hell if they pulled any clutches with the low pressure, I doubt they would hold stock power

I think what you're thinking of is the ford trannies. They pulled a few clutches to help with excessive heat somewhere around '15 ish
