Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and a beginner in the diesel world. I've had my 2016 LML for over a year now and looking to do some mods to get some more power out of it. Not doing it bc I need it, I'm just bored and feel like getting my hands dirty on my truck.

Delete it and go with PPEI tunes on the ez lynk shift on the fly 0-200 extra HP along with some simple engine mods, Cai, flow pro exhaust, down pipe, just to start, my truck runs cooler and hell of a lot more power

Well, look at it this way...some transmission builder somewhere will have some business in the near future.

A stock lml trans is not going to hold a 200hp tune. Easy way to shell out a converter. Trans tuning does NOT fix hard parts.

Sofar my Allison with the tune is handling it, and haven't heard of any other issues from other drivers with similar setup, but parts can fail anytime.

Geezus, doesnt Kory (or his resellers) warn you guys when you buy his hotter tuning?

No stock Allison is immune from damage at that tuning level no matter who the tuner is.

Being in California you're limited to what you're gonna be able to do. Not much you can do with a factory warranty in the first place. Then with strict emissions laws you shouldn't be deleting egr or dpf honestly. Keep it stock till no warranty. Then you may can go from there. But emissions laws keep getting more and more strict.

To the other guy. Your Allison may be handling it fine for the moment because from your pic your truckbis brand new. Give it a few thousand miles thrashing on it with a 200 horse tune or even a 100-150 horse tune and say goodbye to your tranny. The tune may help it live a bit longer. But better start saving now for a new one

I run the 100hp tune on a stock trans and wouldn't ever think about going higher without building the trans, and my tuner also informed me about what was said above. Be prepared for failure at 200hp on a stock trans sooner than later like everyone else said.

Also read this about emissions compliant upgrades, Rob is very reputable. http://atptrucks.com/blog/atp-project-lml-duramax-factory-emissions-equipped/

It won't last forever. I have two friends with a 2014 Denali and the other HAD a 2016 Denali, both had lift pumps and sumps, 200 horse tunes, intake, exhaust and yada yada, the 14's converter shuddered and slipped and the 16' said **** it and chewed up the c1's. But they drove them like they should be drove.

77,000 miles on her sofar, but don't drive it hard on a daily basis most often she stays on 150 tune, but if it fails, I'll put a custom tranny in her, next upgrade will be twin turbos and cp3 conversion
