just putting this up to see if anyone notices something I don't or has an idea of something else to look for.

I am currently running a bone stock tune (as advised by Josh) and in 2 days of repeated stop and go WOT runs I haven't had the stutter but I haven't logged it to see if there is something that maybe I can't feel with the low hp.

in the pic, you can see the while inspect line where the double shift occurs. It doesn't always do the stutter shift, but once the trans is at operating temp (180deg or so) it does it every time.

With a trailer (maybe 5000lbs), I can hold it to the floor and it never stutters the 3-4 shift (478hp dyno tune). Almost feels like the truck is out running the shift point and the computer freaks out when running unloaded.

The converter shows a slippage of almost 100rpms during that shift. could it be a lockup issue?

Gmax 6 kit with ML converter. I want to eliminate an electronic problem before going in to see if it is an clutch problem.

3-4 shifts are an inherent problem with our transmissions...My modified trans act funny & stock trans trucks at work do it...Just the way it is...

thought the 3-4 shift was more of a odd issue on the 5speeds, but not so much with the 6 speeds?

my cousins LMM with the exact same trans build and twin turbo's doesn't miss a beat.

If it's an electronic issue, Josh can figure it out...I can drive mine around for a week, then it'll have a hickup, then go back to normal...Odd...

My 5spd does the same thing. Not sure if it's electronic issue or not. Bothers the shit outta me. My built Trans 06 lly was perfect.

The lockup box on here is friggin sweet!! Makes lockup predictable and consistent.

The stutter is still a problem but josh is going to change a few things to see if we can get a grip in the shift issue. Stutter is driving me insane!

Tuning in the ECM and a little TCM tweaking. went a long while with a BAD 3-4th studder that would knock your teeth out. had some long talks with mike l, my original tuner and a thread on here to figure it out, wound up being a tuning issue with defuel and problem with my draining fuel rail on the big tune. Trent helped me big time back then and im running steves tune now, smooth as butter even if i putt around for a week and roll into it hard once. there is a little flare at first but the next WOT is smooth after.

Sounds like where we are heading with the tuning.

My part throttle shifts are all spot on, no issue. WOT is the only problem.

Mine is the opposite. Partial throttle shifts are terrible and WOT shifts are smooth as glass.

btw, this is on a single 500rwhp tune. ill also mention i ditched my DSP5 in favor of a single tune. my trans likes single tunes much better than me switching back and forth. i dont know why but i never shifts as smooth under a DSP5 as it does a single tune. Ive seen some trucks are more finicky over that than others as well.

I'm running a single tune right now. The 554hp race tune is my daily driver. I'll change when I have to tow to my DSP2 tune with the 423hp and 478hp tunes. My shifts don't seem to be effected whether I run a single or dsp2 tune from what I can tell. But I have heard other people say they have different shift results on single vs DSP tunes.

yeah its kinda a hit or miss deal it seems. im just giving all my back ground so it doesnt seem like im "leaning" toward what your problem is, rather put all the facts out there on where i stood. I really think mine was compounded between some tuning, rail pressure, and the DSP.
