Now i know this is a stupid question cuz my truck is not a cummings. But does the turbo on my durmax have that stupid ring in it like the cummings do? Im not sure and instead if pulling it apart to find oit i thought id ask first

Nope. The box on top of the motor with the 6.6 markings on it is the resonator....basically gm's way of quieting down intake noise.... "whistle" if you will.

Yep. Can either cover the hole in the intake with a plumbing cap or a few places make a billet plug.
