05 lly pulling heads for head gaskets. Injector 7, the one in the back on pass. side is stuck in the damn hole. Any ideas on how to get it out? have been prying and tapping and spraying with penetrating oil with no luck. All the others popped out with ease, this one is being a serious bitch.

Cant get the head off till the injectors out. Lower valve cover still has one bolt under that injector, and you can't get to all the head bolts till the lower valve cover is removed.

I had to put the injector line back on so I had something to pry against. Pry'ed back and forth on the fuel line & valve cover, also held up pressure between the head & the hold down with another pry bar. Took me 4 or 5 hours to get it out & mine was number 1... I so don't envy you! Good luck.

Yea that what I did, put the fuel line bak on so I could pry on something without destroying the threads. We can get it to move back and forth but even that takes a lot of pressure. Maybe I will bring my carb cleaner up there and just keep working it

This is what mine looked like after it came out. Notice the black pits around the copper seal. The dealer left carbon bits in the hole when they changed them. This injector only had 2,000 miles on it when I pulled it to do tips.

Damn, yeah I'm afraid that is what this one will look like. We broke the hold down from prying so much so we will see what happens tomorrow. May try to attach a slide hammer to it some how.

I had the same problem with 5 and 7 injectors when I did my gaskets about a month ago. It took probly a good 10 hrs to get the two out. Bent both of the hold downs but after a lot of penetrating oil, prying and twisting with some channel locks they finally came. Put the hold downs in the press and straightened em out and they workin good now!

You can sacrifice a injector line. Cut the line and pull the nut off, weld it to a cheap wobble impact socket, weld a nut to the other end that will thread into a slide hammer. I have one built for pulling cat nozzles. I just didn't have access to it when I pulled mine & I was pissed at it, so it either was either cummin or bleeding!

Well we finally got it out tonight. One guy prying up on it and one prying sideways rotating the injector in the hole. Tons of debris in the hole, almost looked like rust.

Copper ring actually didnt look that bad, it was stuck down in the head though. All the other came out with the injectors. I will take a photo of it today .
