I get this pop up whenever I have a tune open and want to change anything in it.

attachment.php

I go to register and all my info is already filled in so I hit OK and nothing changes. Still get that pop up when I make another change. What gives?

Do I have to write tunes with the cable hooked up now?

I have downloaded the latest version of V5 since I only have a V1.

TIA

i just went through this... before you register you need to have EFI Live plugged into the truck and the USB cable also needs to be connected then enter in your registration information... works every time for me

it is annoying every time that i want to mess with a tune i have to go to the truck and get the V2

Are you sure you have all the info entered correctly? I have never had a problem as long as everything is filled in correctly.

I thought I did everything Rob told me to do over the phone as far as getting started but mine always goes into demo mode unless the V2 is plugged into the computer

You must enter the information in all the spots like it is here. The information must be the same as the information on the sheet that came the box with your EFILive software and cable. I do not plug in the FlashScan cable when I am entering the information.

I am 100% sure the info is put in correctly... it never did this til I updated to V5 time before last. Not sure which release but it's been a while since I've used the program and even longer since I've switched tunes in my truck.

Gonna help a guy out tomorrow and am trying to be sure everything is still working properly.

It's working like a champ with the cable plugged into the comp. and even seemed to register when I did that while the plug was hooked up. Closed everything, unplugged cable and tried with it unplugged and again, no dice.

It kinda sucks but I can deal with it I suppose.

Check reg info 100%.

Also make sure it is set to commercial scan and tune.

You dont need to plug into the truck.

Follow EXACTLY what the blue card says.

You wont have to have the V2 connected after you are registered.

I will enter in my stuff and it will go out of demo mode. Then when I open EFILive again it gives me the demo warning. This was only after the update on mine too.

If it is in Demo mode without the cable hooked up, 99% of the time the reg info is off. If the cable is hooked up, I think reg info actually can be off and not be in demo mode.

Dont put your name in the name field if its not on blue card, again make sure it is set to COMMERCIAL scan and Tune (it may revert back to personal).

Try plugging cable in before opening software, then go fill in reg details.

Can you post a screen shot of About >Help?

Again the date and License is common problem with the reg info.
All has to match the blue card.

Maybe the update wiped out the license info or changed it a bit.

What is the likelihood of all these people who have been using efilive to be putting the info in wrong? I like mitch have done it many times before and my info is correct but it always reverts to demo.
