Stroker pump/street intake cp3 inlet fitting clearance

Got a 14mm stroker pump and a street intake I’m using in an engine that’s getting put together. The straight hose barb fitting that came with the pump won’t fit because it goes straight up into the intake. Does anybody know what type of fitting I’m looking for? Obviously can’t use just regular npt threaded fitting since it seals off against the pump with a copper crush washer. Is there a 90° fitting available?

Here’s where the fitting goes into the rear cover. The fitting that came with the pump is just a straight m10x1.5 to hose barb adapter that works with clamshells and y bridge, but not street intake. Goes straight up into the bottom of the intake.

Ahh, it’s a race pump. That one may get interesting. How much clearance do you have from the top of the inlet to the bottom of the intake?

A banjo fitting would work but would be too restrictive.

The cp3 thread is a m10x1.5. Need a fitting with oring base or a copper crush washer.

Thanks, this is what I was looking for. Hoping to find a 90° fitting with a hose barb, but might have to switch to AN.

I looked at the banjo fittings, but they did look restrictive. I’ll probably go to AN fittings? -8AN closest thing to 1/2” hose?

An dash size is its reference to 16th of an inch.

8an is 8/16th or 1/2” nominal. Meaning 20an is 1.25” and so on.

Not enough for a straight fitting, the hose kinks hard. Have to be a 45 or 90

Right, your initial post didn’t specify the billet pump. The older 14mm you could get a street pump which has the same feeds like a normal cp3 and then there was the race pumps like what you have.

A tight radius 8an or possibly banjo is your only real options.

The way I did mine with banjo is Mounted banjo on pump and tightened it. Once tight I stuck a sharpie in the inlet and marked the bolt. Pulled it back out and opened it up with a Dremel. It seems restrictive until you look down in the inlet of pump. The problem about a 90 is it's hard to find one that screws on without hitting pump and faces right way when tight. If you use a locknut style it gives more height witch screws ya.

Yeah looking it over last night I realized most 90s will be to long and hit the pump when you’re turning it in. Looks like most M12 banjos are 3/8” hose barb, is that what you used? I’d like to stick with a 1/2” if I can.

get a M12 to 8an banjo and use a 8an pushlock fitting for the hose, should be pretty darn easy. There isn’t, that I know of, an m12 straight to 8an/0.5” barb.

Banjo: Vibrant 11533
8an pushlock: 22008
