Whats the deal with the gold color inside the coolan jackets on the heads?

That's not gold its rust from running distilled water and water wetter all the time.

So was the crank the problem with the motor or what else did you find?

The crank is the main problem. I also found the welded water pump I bought broke the welds and wore into the engine block.

That area is not the cooling system. Everything goes into the oiling system at that point straight drop down.

Ah gotcha I see it now. Should of looked at the pictures better. For some reason I was thinking of the impeller side.
