Stock Valve Spring Retainers

I'm thinking about buying a set of Hamilton Valve Springs because they can be used with the stock retainers but I was wondering if there is any negative effects to running the stock parts? I don't want to have to worry about my top end while turning a lot of RPM's at the drag strip and I'd rather not spend a whole lot on a spring/retainer combo from SoCal or Comp. Thanks for any advice.

As many as I can haha. I'm not really sure what I'll need to turn but I just want to be safe.

If Im not mistaken you can turn up to 4800. If I was to go any higher than 4k I'd do springs and retainers and possibly pushrods.

Sorry, you answered with the 4800 after asking another question so I wasn't thinking about my original question. Do they break at above 4800 or what? I'm only 18 so no drinking here haha.

I think 4800 is all you can get a dmax to turn. And I'd do at least springs and probably retainers and push rods if I was planning to turn 4800.

Ok that makes perfect sense now. Is it worth the extra money to buy titanium retainers from SoCal or are their steel retainers ok to use at high RPM's?

I personally would think the steel would be fine. Main thing is the springs.
