stock turbo up

dose anyone out there modify stock turbos (lb7) to preform better or even sell a modified one ? I would like to gain more power but still run in a stock truck class.

Boy, that has been an old dream of mine that never got off the ground. Yes, Brayden at Fleece has some VNT ones, but no production LB7 pieces yet.

You could perhaps figure a way to control the Fleece VNT, and that way you would be Work Stock Legal and have the advantages of the VNT.

I really wish I knew more about electronics; I'm trying, but still don't know enough yet.

Yes.. K31 cartridge.. billet wheel 2.8" inducer. I think the Airwerx chargers and GT42's are going to work better though. I don't like the K31 turbine.. It's too restrictive IMO.

IIRC, the K31 is a Borg Warner aftermarket replacement part for OTR trucks that normally gets the GT42 (94) so they can capture some of the replacement part market. Engines like Detroit Diesel Series 60 get these.

Compared to stock,, what kind of #s are we talking about? 30-40 psi? :D

The Series 60 Turbo your talking (for LLY, LBZ) about I'm assuming is an EPA04 version?
