It wasn't a smartass answer it was fact based, sorry you thought I was being smart, I thought I explained it quite well.

I highly doubt you will get any deleted LML base tune for $150, you can't get a single LB7 tune that cheap for a stock trans.

If you want me to be a smartass then I am simply not interested, but as far as making my initial investment back it's a lot easier to make my money back/faster at $999/autocal then at $150/tune.

:woott:

Sorry I guess I read to heavily into it then. So name a price for a STOCK tune with codes shut off that's it no extra power anything just codes shut off, Id probably pay good money for one. like i said i hate waiting on a tuner to make changes or tweaks or if they **** something up and im stuck with a broke down truck till they get back in the office. Any who I have nothing against you just think you could make money that way to, Also no body care about lb7 - lmm trucks there stock files are everywhere ;) :D

OK, well as I stated before, not all operating systems are the same on LMLs when it comes to issues like codes being off, modules off, etc...can lead to dead pedals & no cruise...not that I am THAT experienced at it...needless to say, I am of no use to you....

IIRC efilive was going to offer dpf delete abilities for customers outside the US. If that's still in the works, I think you'd be better off spending your energy trying to find a way around the region controls than trying to get a pre-deleted file from a tuner.

Yes just like every other duramax ecm? I know he's going to have to look up specific to ecm serial number and Vin for each truck same with a auto cal tunes he sends out. I'm not completely retarded :D I have around 20 stock lml files but I can't shut the codes off do its worthless.

I have worked with a tuner on lml stuff and the track record with things working perfect vs issues isn't that great right now and I'm sick of customers blaming me for there screw ups that I can do nothing about that's why I'd like to find a option like getting stock tunes with codes shut off then I can at least get trucks running again

Sounds like you need to either get a new tuner that does it right the first time or, spend the 10k and learn it yourself. Then you can sell auto cals at 999 or tunes for 150 and recoupe your money

Iv always had great luck with Tony and never had a truck down on a screwup

The issues with the LML are that each year has a different Operating System, but they can have an unreal amount of combinations of other segments, the fuel segments especially for the Cab and Chassis are not the same as pickups.

Better hope you don't get a stripped down LML with a manual TC, no 4x4 would suck if it does not engage because you have the wrong system segments.

You can try to build them by swapping segments but many just are not available online anywhere, even though many are out already.

You also need a subscription to TIS for getting the stock files, that alone costs you $1000/yr on top of a $500 Mongoose Cable for getting the tunes flashed in.

Add in a TECH2/CANDI Module to properly log some of the LML parameters and your costs keep going up and up and up to do this properly.

And swapping OS from one year to another doesn't work well at all, some say it can be done but there are major differences in the code and the later ones have extras that the earlier ones do not.

Most of the problems are because of an incorrect base tune, and getting it read out requires a specialized fixture, boot pin, software and a hex editor that is compatible for import to EFI-Live for final editing.

The initial investment is keeping the market very small as only a handful of us have the proper hardware/software to offer this.

:D

Ya I wouldn't want to swap a os in a lml I'd want to look up the correct one for each truck like I said be buying a new file for every truck. Even in 06-10 ecms I haven't had good luck swapping things around like that. The 11-14 stuff seems pretty well out there but not sure on the 15 stuff it's still really new I'm sure

They came out and said they already offer it to those outside the US. For legality reasons they won't unlock it for US computers due to the heavy hand of the EPA coming down on them, but for those elsewhere it's already there. And if you go to EFILIVE's forum and read the LML section, you will see they are proving to be rather troublesome with some weird quirks. Part of me wants to play with one to see what I can do, but another part of me says why put myself through the aggrevation.

Ya know, this is funny. My nephew-in-law's fiance was one of the calibration engineers on the LML engines. He's a powertrain engineer, and did a lot of work on the LML engine itself, too. I keep reading how much trouble you guys are having with these new engines and tuning....
So I'm thinking, maybe next time I see them, should I slap both of them for you guys? :roflmao::roflmao:
