Under a big a$$ rock...
My sensor is made by Optirand, and it goes in just like a normal glowplug. I'll see if I can find a picture.

Thats how mine was set up as well, but the adapter that was given to me was sub par as far as I am concerned. I can post up some pictures when I get home from vacation but I would be really curious to see what you are using?

Apparently my intercooler piping hit my sensor and broke it in two... I think my adapter was poorly designed. One way or another I am still waiting for a new sensor and adapter.

Pat, if you don't mind me asking. Could you post a picture of your adapter and how it was made? I have 2 machine shops in Reno working on making me new ones to my specifications but would love to see some other ideas.

I asked you to return it to me so I could see what needs to be done and replace it. You have opted not to co-operate. Pity. :(

I get the feeling you intend to go off on your own with the hardware. That was not the intent of you being a tester for me.

I think we are done here.

Welcome Fingers!
Sorry for the OT Pat but as for your pressure testing fingers I have not vistited diesel place in quite some time,And I was following your thread on there about the things you have been working on.qaqa:cool2:

IMO this is a invaluable tool and i would love to own one personally, unfortunatly i dont really have a truck to test them in at the moment, but if you do have something your interested in selling im all in!

If its still in Beta that is fine, As I said I dont have any valuable info to give as of now besides a stock LLY,but in the near futre i will have a Lb7 with a lil HP to test,And would be willing to share all info!:)

I just cant say thanks enough for the valuable work! Sorry if this sounds like a B noser but i get off on this stuff, Knowlege is power( HP ):D

The Tuners Rig I have out in Beta will probably not be a big seller. Too much for most people to absorb. The Competition Rig will be a max pressure dash gauge with a port for EFI. That should sell a few.

The rig I have from Jon is complex, yes, but for the price and the opportunity I'll gladly put on my newbie hat. It's very easy to burn 4 or 5 hours tinkering with it. Unfortunately, that kind of time is very hard for me to find right now. I still think think the Duramax tuning crowd has a winner on its hands with these type of sensors, just need some polishing is all. You have to expect that with new technology :)

I will vouch for Simon as being a good techie and test mule for stuff. One of the problems with test mules is when you send them something, you never hear from them again. Not so with Simon.

So hypothetically, with an assumed bore diameter of say 4.125", would it be safe to assume that 1600PSI cylinder pressure would result in a rod load of 21371.625 psi??

Or is my math out to lunch? I don't know what the stock bore is hence the hypothetical.

Mcrat is this all being done on casper? If needed we are putting dual fullers and a charger on a lb7 duramax. If i have one of these hi tech devices i can see at what points rods go south. IMHO if cyclender pressure is down. Egts are minumim and Timing is not to far advice i think we can make a duramax last for atleast 750- 800 hp
