I am debating on whether to keep me stock cam or buying the hot street/tow cam from socal. Is there that much of a noticable difference inbetween the two? Just wondering if it is worth it.

They say the custom cams have alot better spool up charachteristics than the stocker and better top end. I have been thinking about the same thing also

I would think Guy's cams would be far better, So Cal is after all centered on the duramax and it performance. I am sure the comp cams are good too, but I would go with SoCal. I always wanted to know what the HP/TQ gains would be.

Thats what i have heard but at the same time i heard that it is not noticable. Just trying to get everyones opinion on if they are worth the money.

I have changed alot of things on my truck, so i may not be a good point of reference.

The only difference i have noticed to this point is the motors willingness to spin up and improved throttle response.

I've heard some very good things about the TTS race cam on street/strip trucks and about SoCal's street cams.

I am running the TTS Extreme cam in my new motor so towing/street manners are not critical to this build.

That right there alone would be reason enough for me to include a cam in my build.
