Finally hit the 11s this weekend! First run I sprayed to an 11.8. Backed that up with a 11.9 fuel only. 60' were trash as usual but I'm just stoked to be in the 11s with this truck. Nice cool air does wonders.

Congrats! Just count your blessings, they won't do it forever.... But that's what makes it fun right? Congrats again

It continues to amaze me what you guys are doing with stock motors without killing them. You're all very very lucky. ;)

You cant beat physics, Mike. No matter how you do it, the parts can only handle so much for so long. Tuning and knowledge have only extended that time period, not eliminated it. ;)

What is a safe number on the stock bottom end in your opinion?
And congrats on a 11 on a stock motor OP, i know i wouldn't push mine that hard if i didn't have cash sitting around to build a motor!

Thanks guys! I'm Pretty impressed how well it's held up so far.
My thoughts are sticking with a stock single cp3 and keeping power up high has helped with keeping it alive? I know it's a crap shoot at that level
I've never had it dynoed but I'd like to think its somewhere close to 700hp?
I know it's not going to last forever but I just wanted to get the 11s so bad.

Thanks Kory, after many phone calls to your boy Chad I think the tunes are finally getting squared away.

Nice man... I wasn't even sure who's tuning you had, just seen it was impressive runs!

Glad chad was able to help out, feel free to email me if you need anything as well!

The big singles have been showing these stock motors will hold on a little longer, 650hp has been what seems to be the "it won't window the block RIGHT NOW" number...fwiw

Stock cp3 might have something to do with it. How much are you spraying? (Hp estimate) and When

Still holds rail pretty damn well but maybe it just limits the fueling a tiny bit

I had a .72 jet and I started spraying after I locked the converter in 2nd gear. Held it through 3rd and 4th than let off, I was afraid the 5 shift would have brought the RPMs down further than I wanted to be spraying in.

It was nerve racking to say the least with all these other horror stories of melting pistons and windowing blocks with identical set ups.

"Safe"? LB7/LLY - 550, LBZ/LMM/LML - 600 --- preferably with lower tq at lower rpm in the tuning.
There are "Wednesday" engines that'll take more than that for some time, but they shouldn't be considered the norm.
They will ALL eventually fail.
