High everyone, I'm still having performance issues. I have only the exhaust , intake and tuner installed nothing else right now, its running o.k right now on the 40 HP tune.I dont know why it ran so good last summer on the 225 tune and now when I turn it up and goose it a little the 0087 code comes on. Why does that happen easier and easier, it never did until this spring I put it to the wood racing a sheep boy and it came on and know if I just roast em at a stop light it comes right on, also it smokes white a little until it warms up on that tune but wont do it on a lower tune or stock. Why didnt I have this problem the first time I floored it why did it take 5 months to happen all of the sudden, it kind of makes me wonder if the fuel system is damaged or maybe its not putting power to the ground like it was and slipping the tranny a little and making me think its slower ( I've never limped it or noticed a slip). I dont Know Its making me mad .I havent got a lift pump yet but I did buy a ported fuel rail fitting and a race fprv from PPE, but the company told me after I bought it that the race fprv is for 350+ tunes and it could damage my cp3 or my fuel rail, and not to install it, instead to buy their shim kit. I hope I didnt get it too hot either ( i still dont have any gauges, but they are on the way) my mechanic buddies told my If i'm not going up hills or pulling alot not to worry and they told me not to stay in the throttle to long and I havent, the longest I floored it was that race with that dodge and i stayed in it until about 125 and we were going down hill so as you can imagine that didnt take to long. I love having power but now I'm just worried about the thing taking a sh#t on me. :( Sorry I'm so long winded I'm just kinda lost

Have you ever looked at your rail pressure with your tunner? How old is your fuel filter? You FPRV masy be getting weak, put some shims in and it should help it imo.

I changed the filter and it seemed to make I big difference shes running pretty good THanks but it only had about 5500 on it so i guess every oil change will be a filter change.

This my sound fake. But i haven't put a fuel filter in my truck since last mid summer. The Change fuel filter just came on. Maybe the lift pumps and prefilter helps?

I'm sure it does...I'd rather change my $15 pre-filter than the expensive factory filter...Mostly on a 3 to 1 ratio, sometimes 2 to 1...

Not to sound like a di-k but why are you waiting for your change fuel filter to come on, kinda like waiting for your low oil light to come on. It only takes one bad tank of diesel to jack a great tune and wreck all your filters. Make sure you get your fuel from merchants who take care of their storage tanks!

shims and filter. problem will be solved with one of the two just like everyone else said. I run a prefilter setup and it cost me about $25 to build it. I buy baldwin filters in town for $6. way cheaper than the oem one :D
