Im still fighting 0087 codes on my truck.

I have just installed a PPE Race valve, Had My tune adjusted to command less fuel, And still piopping the code at around 100-115 mph ( varies).

Im not sure what else to do, Truck has passsed bottle tests before and Lift pumps seem to be working fine.

Just want this fixed, cant get to the track till it is. :(

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

do you have a log?

Not with my current race valve in.

I had to laugh when i read your post :D

My tuner has been pretty busy , im just trying not to bug him every day,

Just hoping to see if there was anything simple or else i could try to correct the problem before i bug him somemore LOL.

Just curious whether you have looked at tables c1802 and c1803 in your tune? Also, have you looked at c1804 to c1810 tables?

What kind of lift pumps do you have? Have you ever hooked up a pressure gauge to them and done a wot run to see what they drop to?

If they hold good pressure then maybe you have a weak CP3 or a bad FPR.

I have TTS twins that i bought about 3 years ago. Been thinking about upgradeing to an air dog.

Its just wierd , the truck runs strong up to bout 100-115, then pops. And it wont do it all the time on every 0-100 run, but i would say 98% of the time it pops.

What is the easiest way to check and verify Lift pump pressure ??

How to test FPR ??

3 years on lift pumps depending on how many miles on them could actually be a long time. I would seriously find a way to "T" into the outlet side of the pumps and check the pressure with a gauge. Run it up so you can see it in the cab and take it for a WOT run.

Not sure how you would check the FPR exactly. Maybe with a Tech II.........

FWIW, I had p0087 issues when I had my PPE race valve but they went away when I replaced it with a new (under warranty:D) stock valve with 3 shims. Not sure that means anything or not.

Thankyou for the help. I m wandering if i can put a fitting in the Fuel filter housing and check lift pump psi there ? im sure people have before.

I will maybe have to check into having my FPR checked and have my valve replaced and see if that helps too.

This is the most annoying code ever!!!!!!!!!!:mad: :D

0087's

Tim I know this sounds dumb buy MAKE SURE it's tight!!!! I mean tighter than he!!!!!!!!!. Mine would do the same thing and it just wasn'r seated. The more you have them apart the harder it is to get them to seat. Just a little wear and it makes it hard to seal 27k. Just something I run into. Jeff

You should be able to check the pressure at the filter head. Or at the stock pressure test port.

Wrap the fprv with toilet paper to check for leaks it could be leaking on the threads

check the lift pump pressure as close as possible to the cp3 put a t in the line downstream of the fuel filter or by a metric prong adapter for the filter housing

swap filters to be certain that is not the problom

you might need to check the tune or lowr the pw

Tim, have you logged the truck to see what kind of rail pressure your actually holding ? and what it does when the code pops , AKA sudden drop ,or steady low pressure then finally pops the code ?

Tim, you think it may be possible that the seat in the fuel rail is damaged? Also if you log your rail preasure and it holds would'nt that mean your liftpumps are doing the job?
