My 2006 CC/LB has a moan when the wheel turns past one rotation. I have just changed ALL the steering gear (pitman, idler, idler support, put in PPE stage 3 tie rods, upper and lower ball joints and both front axles and it's still there.
Can you lubricate the steering shaft inside the truck? Spray it with Fluid Film? make that groan go away?

I believe it’s a bearing in the column somewhere. Mine does the same thing. But only turning right lol. And when it groans I can turn back the other way and right again and it doesn’t do it. I know mine’s not the pump. Very pronounced sound and feel in the cab.

I think it is. I’m trying to remember how long it’s been doing it. I did the hose clamp fix for the column rattle and I think it started doing it after that. It might just be that bushing. But it doesn’t do it all the time so I don’t worry about it.

It’s that bearing for sure ! I just changed mine out last weekend ! The new one is so much tighter ! They’re like $30. Well worth changing!
