I thought the lml didn't have one isn't it just 01-10 only?
Either way they are pointless I just removed mine and it's better without it.

Might be tires.. Ive replaced mine.. Definitely noticeable difference with the 19.5s I run
My 12 Didn't come with a steering stabilizer but the mounts were there and I added one. Well worth the small investment IMO but to each there own

Edit: you meant whining noise, not complaining. That makes more sense... Yeah, I'm curious, did a damper fix things?
For what it is worth, I removed the steering damper on my 2003 and ran it that way for 20k miles or so. Steering didn't feel that different on road, but it fought me a bit off road, and the front tires wore a bit funny. Stuck a damper back on and wear returned to normal.

My '11 does not have one either. After 425k miles you think I should add one? I did replace the power steering/brake boost once at 295K.
