Steering questions with new install

I just spent most of the day saturday installing new idler arm, pitman arm, Cognito braces for both and Rare Parts HD tie rods.
After the install, the steering is really nice and tight like it used to be, but it seems to be pretty stiff. Im thinking the new braces have something to do with it, but I also havent gotten it aligned yet, that may be my problem.

Any one do stuff like this and experience stiff steering afterwards?

Yes. I did the same thing couple months back. Steering definitely tighter

Not just tighter, but a little stiff also. It is looseing up a little as i drive it tho.

Being out of alignment can definately make the steering feel heavy. Get it aligned ASAP.

i did just the cognito braces by themselves and it definately got tighter afterwards but i kinda like the way it feels now.

Smokin, what did all that cost you roughly? My '06 is getting about time to do that.

I got an alignment about a week later. All is good now.
It was about $750 for all that and a new idler arm support bracket.
