Steering clunk fix

Plenty of threads on this but I just did the hose clamp fix and it worked like a charm. We will see how long it lasts. It already has the newer (green) bushing but don’t know if it has a different shaft or not. The truck is just shy of 300k miles. Anyways I enjoyed a nice quiet ride into work today!

Can you post a picture of this? I think I have the idea but want to be sure. My 2014 3500 has a pretty bad rattle/clunk.

I also have some play in the steering both ways and while I was under the dash I grabbed the steering shaft with one hand while moving the steering wheel and the play was there and the shaft wasn’t moving, so my issue is probably over my head on that one. Any ideas?

Edit..fixed the play..popped the column covers off and there are 2 set screws that tighten knuckle to shaft..gave both about a half a turn and play is now gone.
