I have vacuum bled it and disconnected return lines. No difference.

I just put 2 redheads on trucks in the last week. Their customer service was excellent answering my questions, but I was caught off guard by how hyper sensitive the steering is now. Both trucks had upgraded steering dampers too, large tires and rims, lifts, etc.
That's one of the several reason I like about the red head, sensitive steering on a huge tire. Right now, mine has a little slop due to the last steering upgrade piece I need to do, the idler arm & support. I like the fact that they use needle bearings instead of bushing to increase the life of the gearbox.
well I got the reman box installed. It works ok. slightly less slack. It's not car like but Ive got 167 inch wheelbase. I mean it is better but that could have been the pitman arm that I also replaced. (had the worst time getting it off the center link too). At least it doesnt leak.
Ill drive it for a week and keeping my core until im sure.
The new box is needle bearing all the way from the instructions than came with it.
Oh and my driveside CV joint was popped out (the flange popped out the differential ) ... nice. I put it back it, drove 30km, came back home and it's still where it should be. so far so good.

Where on their site did you read that, this is all I found and it has been a long time since I have pulled one apart to see if the GM gear already has needle bearings and it is a pretty vague statement on their part.

I may have been mistaken for another model, probably the mid 90s that had the bushings. I figured GM was still using bushings because my last few gear boxes had too much play at the output shaft which indicated me as bushing wearing out. Needle bearings barely wear out. If the gearbox already came with needle bearings from the factory, I guess I'm literally beating the crap out of the gear boxes. Point is, mine is still holding up compared to the others I have used.
Still no leaks from the gearbox

yep, rebuild box still working fine, no leak, no new slack after quite a bunch of kms (miles)
