So I snapped another pitman arm today ,sheared the bolt off. It's really starting to piss me off...in a bad way. I don't know what I'm running right now,its either ac delco or moog problem solver. This is the 4th one that snaps. I know the lift and tires don't help nor does having pipeline welding setup in the bed. I'm sure the truck weighs around 11k with welder and all tools back there......my question is whether a straight center link would solve this or if I need something else The fabtech kit steering angles aren't nice either. I'm going to lower the front all the way ,t bolts are cranked about half way right now.

I did have the support kit.... Until the pitman bracket bent and snapped . I still have the idler bracket on there. It's always happened while maneuvering in or out of parking spot. I was thinking about it when it happened.

I put the Rare in mine. I'm not stressing mine as hard as you are, but it seems really stout! Before I bought it, I noticed that the PPE came down a lot in price, but I don't like the idea of drilling out the centerlink - what happens when I'm in East Jabib and it breaks and I can't run to a parts store for a cheapo to get me home?!

I'm wondering about your idler. I know that adding the Ultimate Idler Arm to my setup was a huge move in holding the centerlink steady. I'd wager it takes some stress off the pitman, but that's just IMHO.

Good luck!

Joe, is that guy that Newly and Mike kept telling you to buy the PPE idler/pitman arm from not going to separate it? that is the way to go like i was saying on Facebook. If its sold, i would run the ultimate idler arm and a rare parts pitman arm. otherwise your best bet is a kryptonite steering setup but that aint cheap.
