Ive got about 5100KMs (over 3000 Miles) on my suncoast stage V and its starting to get me angry, no matter what tune i run it on, always 3-4 is SO hard. Double hits and lately every WOT run when shifting from 3-4 it has like a 3-4 second pause(my cummins used to do this when it was slipping) then it hits 4th HARD like enough to give whiplash, its not getting any better at all and for the money i paid for this trans im starting to regret it. Any info would be much appreciated.

You might want to contact Suncoast about it. From what I've been told, some transmissions do it, some don't. The original build of my transmission did it, although not too bad. When I rebuilt it with guidance from Mike, it was gone.

I helped a DP member who had an ATS transmission that had an INSANE 3-4 in T/H and resetting TAPs and preforming a fast learn did nothing.

what will this do?

Allow the transmission to properly relearn ... resetting the TAPs although helps is not the correct way to do things. Every single time Mike has had by transmission apart he takes it for a drive and puts it into fast learn and makes sure everything is working the way it should. The idea of SC sending me a built trans that has never been run in a truck after assembly just doesn't seem good to me.

no. all it does is reset the taps. only a tech 2 can do a true "fast learn" and a fast learn is not neccesary. it will learn after the taps are reset. hell it will learn if you dont reset the taps it will just take longer.

Well i hope contacting suncoast will be my last resort seeing as how i live a LONG way from them and dont want my truck to be out of service for a month again. Im just trying to figure it out and the fast learn will be next, if it still doesnt clean up, its going back to them.

Be patient. Mine does the same thing. Don't run it hard or else you are going to do some real damage. I have been running my Gmax5 like that since the beginning of the year. I haven't had time to take it to suncoast but that is my first suggestion or send it somewhere reputable. Mike L, Rob coddens, Fleece, Danville, Big dipper, merchant. One of those would be the best choices in my opinion.

Suncoast should have been your first call instead of posting this all over the net. Just what kind of diagnosis do you expect from anyone that has no idea what Suncoast does in their trans? You have a warranty; use it.
