You wont find it, trust me.

EFILive wont help either because they cant full flash the allison 4th gen tcm's.

the only way to make this work "right now" is to build something like I did. One of these days I might get around to posting a PCB schematic, but that would be the extent of my 'how-to'. I answer enough questions from people who cant figure out how to put a stupid nav unit in a truck even when they "already read" my step by step 5 page DIY, I think if I posted this tap-shift circuit thing up it would open a big can of worms that would make me tear my hair out. :)

If anything put a 47re in it no computer bull crap and probley alot eaiser be sure to have it built though. Then sell me the zf to put in my 6.5 i will trade u a 4l80 for your zf:D

I appreciate all the research you have done on this subject and all the information you have shared. All I was wanting to do was come up with a way to put in the 6 spd VB without buying the SC kit. The tap shift is neat, but I really only wanted to drop my rpm during 70-75 mph cruising. I am pretty sure I could get a little more MPG out of it than most, but definately dont want to spend the kind of money they want for it.

I was just hoping there was the elusive secret combination of options (Kodiak with Dmax and 6 spd from 200_ truck with 3rd gen TCM .... ) that if you went and found one it would be "close" to a plug and play.

I guess we still need to find someone who knows someone that works for Allison to get the "correct" box. If somebody found the write flash file, would EFI be able to flash it into a 3rd gen TCM?
