LMM: Stainless oil, fuel and tranny filters

Has anyone used or are using Pureflow stainless steel oil, fuel or transmission filters? I work in aviation and stainless filters are used in the fuel system. Yes, this is jet fuel, very similar to diesel. I have run stainless oil filters in my bikes without any issues. I like the fact that all I need to do is clean the filter out with parts cleaner and rinse it out with brake cleaner or soap and water, then blow it all out dry with compressed air.

Correction.....that is Pure Power stainless filters. Anyway, the manufacturer isn't really important, just just trying to see who else uses the stainless filters and what experience you've had with them.

not that this helps but im going to order some an try them out on the tranny and oil filter dont have the factory fuel filter so

I am mainly interested in the oil filtering myself but I discovered the possibiltiy of the fuel and transmission too the other day. Check out a cheap ultrasonic cleaner, they are in the $2xx neighborhood for the size of oil filters. Utilized with carbueretor cleaner the ultrasonic cleaner would get the vast majority of carbon deposits out. I've done microscope examination of the filters and the carb cleaner made a huge difference over soap and water. So, logically the next best thing to getting them really clean is the ultrasonic bath. Since I have so many of the stainless filters in use in other machines it makes sense to invest in an ultrasonic cleaner.

Ok, here is the latest on my quest to get a good stainless filtration system in my truck. I discovered the parts to build my own dual filtration system, using oil filters of my chosing. There were several manufacturers of oil bypass filtration systems but you have to specifically use THEIR filters! So, I found all the parts through a racing supply company and bought a 1-2 micron stainless filter from PurePower, and a 35 micron stainless filter through K&P Engineering. I can set up the filter receivers in either serial or parallel operation, and bought all the hosing and fittings. I now wont have to purchase another oil filter for the life of the truck and the oil should flow with the least impedance possible and filter out the finest of particles. No paper filters for me. They dont flow well in the cold and there is a good chunk of the year where it is cold where I live. If anyone wants to see pics after I build the rig and install it, I will show you.
