Stage 5 PPE build in transmission won't build pressure

I recently had a stage 5 PPE kit installed in my 03 LB7, put the transmission back in the truck and I wasn't getting any pressure to my lines. Pulled back out taken back to the shop after replacing everything electrical on the transmission and checking the internal filter and was found the converter relief valve was stuck open. It was "fixed" and put back together. Now I'm getting no pressure whatsoever out of lines or pressure port. I'm tired of dealing with this and being kicked around on what's wrong. Any suggestions? Also the only code being thrown is P0701. And anytime the truck is put into gear it says "range shift inhibited"

To my knowledge the pump wasn't damaged when the converter was put in and after it was pulled the second time the individual who built it said the pump was fine and everything looked great. I put over 2 gallons in it plus the converter had oil in it. The reading on the stick is at the full hot mark.

Sorry just read part about checking the filter. Make sure the converter is fully seated into the pump before its bolted to the flexplate.

If you remove the torque bolts the converter should push back some making a space between it and the flywheel.

When putting the converter in it was pushed in so that there was a gap. Converter even "clunked" in as if it were in place after spinning and pushing it on to the shaft.

The gasket tabs should be to the passenger side of the truck correct? I won't be able to look until this evening.

Never go by the tabs. They can still be backwards. If the so called builder is worth a shit, he will be able to tell you which way he installed the gaskets. If he can't, then he is a hack.

Great. He was a trusted name in my area so I went with him but this a huge setback for me if he was indeed wrong considering he's messed up once

I guess I assumed the gaskets were correct, being that the stator assembly had been removed and checked already. I suppose if they installed them wrong once it could happen again.

Take it back. I realize your time and fuel costs rise, but the builder who screwed this up should man-up and at least partially reimburse you for those costs along with repairing the f-up.
