Sorry to hear of your troubles. Best of luck to both of you!

Stuff like this is becoming all too common these days. Its pathetic that the working man gets kicked down everytime he manages to struggle back to his feet while the people that have millions and millions of dollars sit in their mansions and watch their bank accounts grow.

In the big picture, something has to give sooner or later, and if it doesn't, I figure we are all in for a world of trouble and misery.

We had something like this happen to us a few years ago. My wife was told we were getting a decent size return with a expected return date. I foolishly decided I was going to dip into our monthly (bill) funds and buy some toys. Well the time came to recieve our return but no money came, after a few calls we realized they had her info mixed up with someone else and had taking our entire return:mad: Usually it would not have been a big deal and more of a inconvience then anything since they were now telling us it was going to take up to 11 weeks to recieve our already late return.. So now I was 7k short on our monthly bills in the middle of my slow season.. So I learned two valuable leasons, 1 never count on the goverment, and 2 never dip into bill money for toy's unless you are 100% the money is there to replace it.. It does not matter if your tax returns have been correct for years without issues, 1 missed key on the computer, or someone with similar info defaulting on there loans and you are going to be seriously delayed on getting your payment, and the goverment or the collection agency's dont give 2 sh!t's how it effects you. Instead they reverse the situation and act like its your fault or pretty much just tell you tuff sh!t you will get your money when you get it. Best of luck to you Jordan hopefully you can infact make some one "Squirm" they deserve that and then some IMO.. ;)

Have you tried to call your senator? Letters are good but get the ball rolling with a phone call.

I wouldn't stop there either. I'd call your Representative, Congressman and anyone else in government offices who you can get a hold of.
I worked with a guy who's elderly mother just wanted to vote and have a bank account after her husband who took care of their banking died. Well she was born before they issued birth certificates, never got her drivers license and had long lost her social security card. She knew her social security number but they would not issue a new card without a birth certificate or photo ID. Well,,, ya cant get a photo ID without a social security card or birth certificate,,,, see where this is going. To make a long story short the lady just wanted to vote and have a bank account so she could pay her own bills and cash her own social security checks (yes they would give her checks but not another card???) and couldn't.
Her family called EVERYONE in any government office they could and finally got their local state representative to listen and take interest and were finally able to get her a photo ID which opened the doors to get everything else she needed. This took several years to get done though.
Good luck and dont be afraid to call everyone you can get to listen.

Kansas when I am home
UpDate, the return will be bacl to us next thursday. But the issue is not resolved we can NOT have this happen again next year or the year after. So we are still trying to figure out what to do. i meet with the lawyer Monday, and he will brief us on the next step. It appears the guy who is responsible got a slpa on the rist, so we will try again and file another type of suite.

The Govt. offices have been dead ends so I will harrass them all week next week tell they respond.

My girls credit rating has fallen to a 530, give me a break!!! My girl makes good money and pays ALL her bills never had a car loan or anything because this all started when she turned 18. On my girls 18th birthday she recieved a phone call from this black bitch saying she had the same name and socail thinkin it was funny. Then here we are a few years later and my girls credit history is DESTROYED now it is interfearing with her income. I'm glad I have been frugal since being home and I didn't go buy a new truck last month, I have some money to spend on this and hopefully fix this.

SERIOUSLY THOUGH, THANK ALL OF YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR ANY AND ALL HELP AND SUPPORT. IT MEANS ALOT TO ME TO KNOW PEOPLE DO ACTUALLY CARE, EXPECAILLY AFTER DEALING WITH SOME OF THESE DICKS OVER THE PHONE WHO TREAT US LIKE GARBAGE. THANKS ALL.

Glad she is getting her money back:hug: I would insist she would be the one to get the new SS number and a letter of explication to go with it.

Documentation is vital for each answer you get from each office/person you encounter in order of it's happening. Accurate files of it show you have your guns in a row when you meet them. The Senator's office takes a bit of time but hits the hardest for your girl's bad problem. When a Senator rep goes to work hard on your issue watch it roll and get answers. You also have an interstate criminal act by that perp which would issue fraud etc. in state/district and other courts for charges on her which you should charge her with the FBI and local cops whoever is the agency that owns the jurisdiction because that will clean your girl's name for future issues because she has marriage in her future name/change-divorce possible too name/change again if so. Don't want to make a mountain of bad forcasts just what happens in life is the point of it. It has to stay and be kept updated and current from the agencies. The idea is to help clear your girl's name until of future changes etc. The credit agencies could give a shit about you they just want to collect money for their fees to profit from. Never cosign for anyone on a note or loan in education now it's the new way for collector's to get in your wallet fast. The other new scam out there is Houses are leased to a renter and the renter moves in only to learn that the house went into foreclosure and is on Sheriff's sale list. If you rent any property check it's status for liens/foreclosures pending because you will loose all your deposits and damage reserves/rent prepay etc. from leases. Check any new supposed landlords very hard to know what you are in. It's a national problem really no certain concentrated area just everywhere if you think how easy someone can rig up a place they know about that's empty and rents it fast to someone who is desperate to move into a house you can see how quick the supposed owner/ could get first-last-damage deposits plus utilities securities if they go that deep. It's easy to see how a prospective renter would pay out $7-8k for a nicer house lease deposits and then the friggin' jerk owner just runs with the money gone Johnson.... This is happening in our areas where the houses are worth like $300k plus rental arena. Say rent is like $1500 plus per mo. market. Private hustlers get money fast from Craigslist like sites. I'm just showing what I've seen and read about in our state but it applies many places I bet. You have to really watch what the kids sign and do with their names on loans so they aren't ripped off or names blacklisted before they even get to like 21 yrs. of age. Get away from any educational cosigned deals you are in ASAP those damn collection agencies can go on a free for all on your bank accts. if you are named signor. Over and out hope you get positive results so your girl's name gets fixed.
