Spun main bearing

Looks like Mike (MMLMM) spun main bearing #1. We pulled the oil pan and found copper bearing material and the remainder of the oil gear teeth then began to pull the rod caps. No spun bearing, although a few hot spots on the bearings themselves, nothing spun there so we pulled the main caps. The last one we pulled had all the damage. Here are a few pics.

That bites hard.

IIRC, it's a nitrated crank (hard) so mic the journal after polishing with fine (600) emory cloth. Might still be in tolerance.

But the bigger worry is why did it spin in the first place. Make sure passage is not obstructed.
