I got this phone the Tuesday after the release. After having it a couple weeks now, and getting used to all the apps it loads on power up and installing Task killers and such, I am finally getting used to it, and as of today, I really like it. My battery easily lasts all day with moderate use. The first couple days, I barely made 3 hours, but I did not understand how Droid works and all the preloaded stuff it was running.

After tweaking settings and READING ALOT on Droid Forums, I believe this is a real winner and glad I got it. It takes AWESOME pics, and everything is so fast. HUGE screen, did I mention that the screen is HUGE???

I dont know what Apple is doing with their stuff, but they can keep it. Sprint and HTC are the new leaders in this and I am glad to NOT support Steve Jobs!!!

I agree that Apple set the standard, but from now on, and I am pretty sure of this, Android will rule the app world. Most of the cool apps on Droid are free. Apple has too much control over what you can get and nothing is free, or limited in the free versions. I am not paying for all the apps that apple wants you to buy.

I have over 40 apps installed on my Droid. All of them are free that I have and all are FULL versions. There are Task Killers, Office doc viewers. Bluetooth control apps, etc. Droid is growing apps at 4 times the rate that Apple did when introduced and we are just beginning.

I will hit on the iPAD. WTF?? for $800 you can buy a PC that is the same size or smaller, HAS a real keyboard, has a place for an SD card, (Why can't Steve let you put an SD card in an iPad or an iPhone????) and be 3 times faster and easier to access things, AND have longer battery life??? I know I wont spend that much on a iPad and then have to load everything from iTunes or synch from a PC the apps you want to use. WTF???

Yup, Steve definately has YOU in mind.

I totally agree with everything.

I'm stuck with getting an iPhone as AT&T has no other option that compares to it. I'm not wanting to switch carriers right now and Sprint is the worst for me or I would have the new EVO.

Might be a nice phone but I hate dropped calls and no service in the mountains. I had Nextel/ Sprint for 16 years got old going to WV 4 wheeling and have no phone to use while others had verizon and it worked great. Now that I live in Kansas the Verizon works hit and miss and does not work in the plant so I went to Att and it works great.

Last time I talked to Nick I think I got dropped from his end a few times :spit:

WV is one of those places that have mountains, and with trees on them. Most carriers here suck when you go 4 wheelin in the those there moutains.

2.5 years ago, Sprint negotiated a deal to share US Cellular towers here and signal, so they are now the same with coverage, and the irony is, that Verizon also did a deal to share signal with US Cellular, so now, Sprint has the best service in more areas than the rest. I dont know how US Cellular stays in business here. Sprints coverage is now identical, but the place are cheaper, but you would be surprised of the idiots that tell me that US Cellulars coverage is way better then Sprint's, THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME with less fees and cheaper rates. WTF???

I have been thinking of switching to verizon but I won't until the iphone gets on their network. What pisses me off about it is you pay 80 bucks a month or so and don't even get unlimited minutes. That is the rip off.
