I have a customer's LBZ (my dads) that is messing with him. Just did profab high flow y-bridge bridge and high flow intake tube, 3" Down pipe, and installed a new Turbo Vane Control Solenoid. Never had this issue with any other LBZ that I have deleted and tuned. On two separate mornings, including today, weather being pretty chilly outside the truck would start, run for about 1 or 2 minutes and turn off as if he turned off the key.

During this event his pocket dtc scanner shows 'link error' for about ten minutes. When you checks it later on it finally reads with P0045 code. I circuit tested it before replacing the Solenoid last time. Last weekend when this happened he said he primed the filter and thenew unplugged the solenoid and after several crank attempts it finally started and he had no issues till this morning and now it won't start at all...

I am lost! Any help would be great!

Unplug the big bail connectors on the drivers side of the engine and take a good hard look at the pins make sure none have backed out and u can see the pin tension would be good. If the terminal is bad u should be able to compare to the rest the female terminals have a little metal tang that pushed down on the flat male terminal. Look at those first mabey pull on each wire gently to see if they pull out.

Got it all figured out actually. Finally got the truck into the shop and found fuel filter housing barely leaking and loosing prime. But the P0045 happened to be coincidence but still a mystery why it pops up once in a blue moon.
