i know i know, a built trans would be awesome but i was short $500 to go down to big dipper. so i went and got myself a new toy. i really wanted something for fun and mudding, and truck pulls with no worrying about if i brake it. And then worry how will i get to work etc etc. that and i will not get my gmc muddy or offroad it, love it to much.
so long story short i pretty much stole this thing since the kid needed money and he needed it gone that day. that and it needs alternator and power steering pump.

1979 F150
upgraded front axle with warn hubs
rear posi
built 351, .40 over flat top pistons, cam, valve job, edelbrock heads, and intake with edelbrok 750 carb, electric fans, 4spd stage 3 clutch, long tube headers with 3" exhaust to be put back on, msd ignition,
has bondo cracking, small rust hole on back passanger fender, lights do work and it is road legal minus ebrake, has home made ladder bars.

tons more, but lets just say it started up in -5* weather on first crank in gear up a hill( yeah kid didnt realize it was in gear). i was sold on that part. leaks a little oil but i will have it all freshened up for spring mudding, pulling season. so far all it takes is 2 quick jabs on the go pedal and she will fire right up every time np. never had a carbureted semi built motor start so well in cold weather.

but here is some pics of it on back of my truck.
dont hate that i got a furd instead of a built trans( appointment will be made at big dipper for tax season). yes the name of it is FURD

paid 1700 for it.. also has 2 good doors that have no rust. probably will paint it cherry red or fire engine red with bed liner under it and half way up the sides.. everyone does blue n black so ill be different

My brother had a '79 F150 RC/LB years ago. It was a sharp truck and a lot of fun to drive.

That's good. Not a power house but the Windsors were decently reliable. A 351 or 400 modified is a no go in my book. They have oiling issues IIRC.
