So this is what I am up against, jump in my truck to head to work. Backed out my drive way and started drive down the road. I noticed the 2-3 shift felt like it went into neutral and then shifted hard/banged into gear. the 3-4 was fine, then the 4-5 shift was the same thing big shift delay/flair and then shifted hard into gear. It shifts fine when I shift in manual mode. Has a hard down shift into 3rd and 5th when in drive. Fluid is up and no codes. Truck is a 2007.5 lmm 6speed ally. I built it myself about 15000km ago and has never gave me any trouble since the build. We have had a butt ton of snow in the last 2 days would that affect it? I am stumped and need my truck for work. Any ideas would really help. thanks Dustin

Try and get some codes. Might have a ripped C3 piston or broken trim valve spring in VB.

I changed the spin on filter, cleaned/dried the connector going into the trans(it was full of trans fluid and water) and did a relearn with a snap-on solus seems to work good now

That internal harness should not leak. You better change it out. I am starting to see many of these leak.

Hey Mike-

Quick question please, could the internal harness your speaking of leak past the bell housing, or be evident from the outside if it were to become bad enough?

I've got a little gremlin leak that drips a few drips of trans fluid every night, I've even taken it back to the shop who built it, they took the trans out and pulled it apart and but it back together and back in the truck and it still leaks...

I'm wondering if something simple like this could've been overlooked, and if it could be cause for the leak I'm experiencing:confused:

Other than that, the transmission performs flawlessly....

Thanks for your time and input, I'm not expecting an answer with what little info I've given, just some advise/direction/options

Thanks

The harness he's referring to is on the back of the Trans.

A leak at the bell housing indicates ; front pump seal, front pump o ring, there are 10 pump bolt seals, or a pump bushing to converter hub problem.

Yeah you have an internal wiring harness that connects to the valve body inside the transmission pan and then it connects to the external harness at the top rear. Mine is seeping through as well. Not dripping though and I've had no issues. The internal harness is $188.00. There is an o-ring between the internal and external connections but you can't buy it by itself. I think that o-ring is the issue. Like I said, mine is seeping and I've had no issues at all.

Thanks Mike

When it was apart, the guys checked the converter hub for a couple different things, the pump o-rings, and sealed those 10 bolts off (along with anything else they could) with RTV, I can't imagine they let a seal slip by a second time, but it's possible I suppose.

It'll get figured out someday:eek:

The o ring is the same as most all GM internal harnesses. They can be bought for a couple of bucks. However, that is not why it leaks. The leak comes through the center of the harness connecter.
