Snooping on Craigslist and found a heck of a deal in an 11 powerstroke with 126k miles. 4 door short bed 4wd. Price too low to post here lol (rebuilt title) somebody please talk me into keeping the lb7. I love it. But it's getting pretty old and worn. Tho I do know it inside and out. I love the look of the new powerstroke. Great trans. And pretty reliable minus the turbo when deleted and can get some nice close to 600hp numbers with just a tune. So. What do y'all think? I know it's a duramax site but hey I've seen a little live for the 6.7s here.

Used to I would say the same but yanno each has their own issues. From what I've read the 6.7 is a great motor. With a solid drivetrain. I had a body guy look at the pictures because you can tell where it's been hit (lack of emblem) and the lines are on point. Now I know those are just pics but it's a start. And rebuilt means it's been rebuilt and no longer salvage. Looking for more than just brand hate here. Want real experiences with these truck

I don't think i'd ever buy a salvaged title vehicle regardless of price.
Not unless it was dirt cheap, you knew the history, and planned to drive it to death and never resell it. I've had experience with a few buddies that wrecked trucks that were bought back and rebuilt. They were never the same. Just a basket case. I'd buy a salvage title for a hunting truck knowing it's not worth shit anyway I wouldn't feel back beating it to death in the mountains.

For the money you will sink into it to make it just the way you like it, you could make your duramax even better for less.

I'd love to buy both but with my income that's not possible. I don't really think I'd do much. Just deletes and tunes. Just getting irritated with this 02 with 265k nickel and diming me to death sometimes. What makes the 11s junk? I know about the insurance. Need to call them about it. I wouldn't be asking about this at all but it's going for about as much as a decent lower mile LBZ is going for

Salvage and rebuilt title Trucks cost more to insure and alot of insurance companies won't even insure them.

I have had countless rebuilt title vehicles never had an issue or charged more by insurance in fact when I wrecked one they went off same value as non rebuilt title. I would not buy one unless I knew who was doing the work. My Lly was a rollover. Put a new cab on it and boom no wrecked parts used. Bought a Yukon the same way. It's a 13 with 40k miles loaded up. It's all about how the repairs are done and who did them

I would definitely make sure of what was the issue before I even thought more about buying. If it was a flood it's a no go for me. I'd take my buddy who's been a body guy for 10+ years with me too
