Many of you know already what I have been up to just thought it was time for an update and some pictures. Also start my own thread.
Installing Danville modified CP3 and port/polish + rebuild.

This is what I started with...

After some help from Russell (Yellowchevy) I decided I was gonna try a port and polish with Wetzel Wheel.

Got the rotating assembly balanced and media blasted today. Mark Broviak recommended and excellent company and it was close to home.

So far I have no play in the shaft with oil in the turbo. Going to install everything tomorrow. Hopefully everything goes well. Starting to think I shouldve put different up pipes in while it was out!

I would like to thank Mark and Russell for all the help they have given. Both do very good work and are very helpful. Couldn't ask for better service from either of them!

Got everything buttoned up today. Still feels like a I have a fuel issue. Wont know until I get it tuned for the lbz regulator.

What difference should I see without tuning for the regulator?

On a brighter note the turbo spools faster than anything I have been in. 1/8 throttle and it hits 28-30 easy. Really happy with how it turned out!

Stomped a cummings on the way home. Was busy watching gauges next thing I know looked over and there he was trying to race. All I saw was headlights and moose ears in the rear view. :thumb:

Haha, thats funny.:roflmao:
Glad you're liking it Greg, I get great results/response with porting/polishing:thumb::thumb:

I think the fuel issue is the regulator. Cant believe how well p/p works Russell. And im still waiting on some funds to buy new tunes. Turns out I did have a fuel issue though. Pulled into work yesterday and as soon as I parked fuel was blowing everywhere. Previous owner put an oversized blue feed fuel line on and doesnt have the metal lock. I didnt have the line pushed in all the way and
it blew open.

Really thinking about a fass fuel pump. My raptor leaks. I haven't fixed it yet. Im just not sure if another pump may be preferred. Anyone have any feed back on fass or other fuel pump companies?I have heard of a few people mentioning other brands.

Fass definitely, send in your warranty card and your good to go.

On your regulator it will have to be re mapped in your tuning.. I'm actually really surprised your able to drive it without tuning. The lb7 we did a modded lbz pump on went to max rail at start up until re tuning.

I hope you get that fuel line fixed and stop the leaking. I really like my kennedy lift pumps; they're small and very quiet.

Yes it does, porting/polishing is the best thing you can do for a stock frame turbo, it really wakes them up.

Fass x100000 every single air dog I did failed only had one fass out of probably 80 fail and it was taken care of by fass instantly my fass lasted 6 years and is now on another truck still going strong now I have a very loud 220 gph but it sure moves fuel lol

Also getting the regulator working correctly will make it run much better it will choke fuel down as rpms go up

I was told it was going to do this as well. Max rail until throttle was touched and it would come down. It runs pretty well other than the surging. Its like a gas vehicle missing.

Its looking like fass is the way to go. Cant be louder than my raptor. Buddy had an airdog and I didnt care much for it. There is another brand I hear about I cannot remember the name of I have been curious about. I will see if I can dig up the name.

Shaft and everything still feels tight. Boost valve still intact. None of the boots are off or loose. Still feels like its pushing 28lbs though. Looks like the boost gauge line is a bit melted but doesnt look like its burnt through. Idk why its only showing 15lbs
