Don't forget the difference between 3 compounded chargers and 2 parallel compounded with 1. Totaly different set-up. In the latter set-up you are just using a third turbo so that 2 smaller ones take the place of a large one and it does not show the same effeciency losses as if it was added in series.

After a certain point the drive pressure can basically stop any increase in hp no matter how much fuel you throw at it.

What I don't understand is why NOBODY other than Banks with their gong show of an intake has made an attempt at improving the flow to the cylinders in respect to a re-designed Y-bridge and intake runners?:confused:

Why spend all the time and money on huge charge air upgrades and exhaust, head work, etc. and not do anything to improve airflow in this area?

This is where ALOT of gains could be made in improving air flow in my opinion and in turn would likely reduce egt's and improve compressor efficiency. I feel it is an overlooked and under-rated part of the charge air system.

I know a couple guys that are working on something now that is addressing this and time will tell if it was worth it or not.

i believe there's a guy, tim, out of ohio that custom made a sheetmetal intake fed by a big single not in the valley. not sure of anyone else has anything different
