solid axle and pulling

I have an 06 2500hd and My truck is hopefully gettin its solid axle this summer any one ever see a solid axle Chevy truck pull or drag race? If so what are your inputs on it and how it will work out?

the same way a ford or dodge pulls IF your 4 link isnt rinky dinked together

I got a Dana 60 out of a 79 ford leafs will fit on inside of frame rails so turning won't be a problem and it will be very sturdy

Hope it doesn't bounch down the track like the Ford's.

The fords that bounce are typically the 05+ with the coil springs and radius arm front axle.

I have watched plenty of leave sprung 7.3's bounch down the track too.

I meant the front axle specifically. They dance or 'row' very fast independly than the rest of the chassis

My truck works great at the drag strip!!! I'm running a 79 ford with leafs. My leafs came from a 01 ford excursion, softer spring rate and lower ride height!

There's a guy on here quadracer something or other is running one. Super clean setup with coil overs and 4 link.

smkndmax05 - awesome thats what i wanted to hear did you make all your brackets your self or you buy a kit? along with the steering components what way did you do it? if ya wanna maybe just pass so info in a pm even that would be great thanks!!!

Be carefull because I don't think Some places will allow you to run a solid axle.

yeah the main pull i wanna get into is my home town one to show up these cummins kids and they dont care about anything at that pull but ill be sure to check all rules befor driving to any pulls

Just put the shocks in front close to the axle tubes if it's on a radius arm
