Well, guys it's gone.

I had a buddy of mine that sold his 02 CC/SB duramax Chevy a few weeks ago ask me what I wanted for mine. I threw out a number and a the other day he bit. He'd been wanting a built trany for his truck but after selling it and knowing that my truck had the SCV, it was a major selling point for him.

Not sure where I go from here. I'm not spending $50k for a new pickup truck that's for sure. The only $50k I'd ever think of spending on a car would be a new M3, those are seriously sweet. GM really crushed me with dropping the 4.5L diesel and the bail out crap, since then I can't really see myself driving an Obamamotors vehicle for awhile. Probably find a beater truck since I do need a truck in some capacity. I don't know.

Well here are some pics for a parting tribute.

What's your buddy gonna do with that ragged out pos?

Sorry you sold it but glad you got what you asked for it. It was one of the first "fast" LLYs out there. I remember it at Kilkare rattling off 12.8s pretty easily a few years ago. On to a new chapter. Let me know what you are looking for and I'll keep an eye out. We have a knack for finding that needle in the haystack every so ofter. :thumb:

Found the replacement already

I was looking at autotrader and a dealer up the street had this sweet ride for a song and I just couldn't resist. It's an 02, auto, fully loaded, sans rust (for now) and it hasn't been modded yet. I know it's not a Duramax but it is a diesel and it will give me a platform to work on that is cheaper and hopefully faster than my previous truck.

Here is a pic from the dealer today. Pick it up tomorrow.

C'mon!!!!! Not even if it was free..... Well maybe.

I'm proud of you guys that caught on so fast. Ed fell for it only because there are some half truths to the story that he knows about. I have had someone ask what I want and he knows my price so I'm just waiting to see. But for now it is still in my driveway and I couldn't resist trying to see how far I could take it being April Fools Day and all.:D

Eric is hanging in there still with the stock bottom end. He hasn't been around because he is stuck with cripplingly slow dial-up and the change to the sites login had him locked out for about 6 months until I could help him out. I know he changed his turbo again to a BIG single and I think he plans on pulling again this season after taking last season off.

I do visit every other day or so to keep up my moderating duties. :D
I don't race or hot rod the truck anymore so I don't really have that much to add, plus Larry and Simon post more than enough to cover for us veterans that don't post that much anymore. I'll get active in a topic that I have some experience about if I see it before anyone else, but most of the time it's already been covered by someone more knowledgable than me so i just mostly read what's going on and blow through the threads to make sure noone is calling someone a jerk and that's it.

Really gone this time

I know that was a cruel April Fools joke, but it's real this time.

I took my last drive in it before lunch and the new owner came and picked it up around 2.

Kinda sad, but it's time to move on. I'm not going to replace it right away. I have an '86 K30 that will be a good work truck and at some point I'm sure I will feel the need for speed or at least massive torque.

Here's the last picture of it before it left the driveway for good.
