Huge shout out to Josh Harris (AKA Bonjour) at Top Notch Garage. We were finally able to get the LBZ back up and running last weekend after some sweat and tears. We took it on the maiden voyage Saturday night and I am absolutely loving the new setup so far.

May have been. We have had this engine since the end of last year, just now got around to getting everything buttoned up.

Something like that! Josh was definately pouring the coal to the poor shop truck. We were rolling pretty good when it decided to talk dirty.

What are the benefits of clam shell machining?

I wondered the same thing. Your engine sealant bead better be on point. If not what goes inside will be a issue. Also would suck with a wagler intake.

The point of the clam shell relief is to give more volume to the clam shell itself and it shortens the individual runners some to increase rpm flow and take a little bit of the lowend torque away. We have been doing this for going on 6 years now with our builds with great luck and had Guy start doing our heads we buy from him like this. Later he started offering this way to his customers too.:hug:
