i hate trailer flats.... for that specific reason i carry two spares on both my flat bed and toy hauler. LT tires certainly make "issues" alot less but you still can have issues lol
Like said go LT's, I do it on boat trailers when it's time for new tires. They last longer, balance wayyy better and hold up until tread is worn out.
LT tires seem to handle the high temperatures better than trailer only tires especially down here in the southwest. Gators are all over the roads already and it's just the beginning of summer. LT tires also handle the highway speeds more easily than the trailer only's...
It's a 2007 DRV 32TK3. Today I hit the scales.
Steer: 4440 lb
Drive: 8040 lb
Trailer: 12720 lb
Total: 25200
I am dumping all my tanks tomorrow, 100 fresh/grey plus the poop. Be closer to 24400.
The new tires I got are 110psi like the Goodyears that came off of it. They were 10 years old. I don't think I'm overweight, according to the previous owner he ran full water, food, propane and got the trailer to weigh 17000.
Oh I forgot it's got 8000lb axles x2.

that based off what the old owner said or the tag on the axle? you can have 8 lug and they only be 7k axles. 7k 8 lug axles are currently whats under my toy hauler.

Headed to Bakersfield, going down Tejon Pass and got a CEL. SERVICE BRAKES. Pulled codes p0606 and c0055. 6% grade 35 MPH for 5 miles.
Saw the caps on the bearings when they pulled the wheels, said 8k. DRV specs 8k in brochure for that model with disc brakes.
