While tapping my intake today, I pulled off the part that connects to the EGR as well so I could clean it. When I was tightening the nuts to reconnect it, I apparently tightened too much and cracked the cast aluminum

Anyone know what these piece is called and where I can get another? I hope it isn't too hard to replace

The part circled in red is where it cracked..the blue is what I need to replace

Anybody know?

It just slips out. Get all the wires and stuff out of the way of it, then pull the pipe to the rear of the engine to pop the bottom out and then the bottom should pop out really easily. You may have to wiggle it a little to get it loose.

Pretty much what Josh stated. I also had to remove the black metal coolant hose to get mine out.

Really, it isn't bolted to the bottom or anything? You make it sound easy..

So I would take everything off that I did today then wiggle it lose and get the new one in there?

Thanks for the part number Josh and advice on how to put it on, you too jckeelwein.

This makes me wonder, what should I torque the bolts to next time

edit: should I get new gaskets too, or can I reuse the old ones?

Thanks a bunch Henry :D

Is it harder to put in or take out? And does 117 sound like a fair price for a new one? Not including shipping..

If you have the piece you broke off you could tig it back on.I cracked mine and used a nut and bolt with a washer, We have since cut that part off and deleted the gride heater and the egr and my new pipe clamps to that part you broke off.
