Man when we get 4" of snow in Charlotte the whole town shuts down for at least 2 days. Kids are out of school, businesses are closed and the roads suck. If we got 30" i would be out of work for a month:rofl:

Most of are snow is not very wet. Hard to be wet when your high barely brakes 20*. But slope is your friend. Not may low slope roofs around here.

in my home town i work in a mobile home park and we had 3 roofs partially come in, the local walmart had to be evacuated due to the roof buckling, 2 gas station and i think i read in the paper like 6-7 homes had partially collapsed roofs.

pretty big deal considering i live in a fairly small town, the most snow ive ever seen here previously was about 8 inches...then boom one night you wake up to 28" and 50mph winds
