Snap-on Solus

Does anybody have any experience with these scanners? I have an 03 stock duramax and am looking for a scanner that has the bi-directional controls to run most or all of the tests described in the 2003 factory service manual. IF not this, what do you recommend?

Ive read about the dashboard units in use here, but I doubt they go as deep as a pro scanner.

That solus should do all the bi directional controls. What solus model is it?

I have a verus edge, had the solus before. Honestly they are great machines. A tech ii is better for our trucks if that's your only concern, but the snap on has a wider database of other vehicles as well.

Except for some commands, the snap on will let you monitor pretty much any value

Thanks. Is there anything I need to watch out for buying used. There seem to be lots of different modules etc. will any solus come preloaded with the modules for an 03 duramax? I was thinking of buying used in eBay.

Never bought a used one.. they generally have everything on them for dmax

Which version of solus are you referring to???

The original and the pro have been discontinued. I think the original can no longer be updated due to hardware limitations.

Snap on has a support web forum too that you can ask questions on.
