smokes at idle

Just to give an update, since my truck seems to be doing the same thing.

I put Diesel Kleen additive in with this tank of fuel and didn't notice any difference...still a slight amount of smoke.

brought the truck to the dealer on saterday they think my intake is causing the smoke, because it is geting more air and inturn tellin the pcm to push more fuel. anyone ever heard of that?

Ok, I forgot about the MAF. Is your new intake tube the same diameter as the stock one?

i believe so but its a strait tube instead of the stock one that has ruff edges inside

Ok well thats not the problem then. You should look towards your injectors. Check the balance rates that will tell us a you a few things. I'm trying to think of any other possible causes...drawing a blank.

the dealer down the road is replacing the injectors so hopefuly they are right and it wont smoke thanks for all your help guys:hello:
