The trans has been in the truck for over a year now and figured I would get some opinions on it. I don't drive the truck a lot because I have a 45 minute drive to work and don't want to run the miles up. What I have noticed is the truck takes a few seconds to engage reverse. I back the truck in the the garage when I park it so I don't know if it would do it first thing. Say I drive the truck somewhere and park it. Well when I go to leave I put it in reverse and it takes a few seconds then engages kind of hard. I did notice the other day if I put it in drive first and then put it in reverse in engages great. Besides that the trans shifts fine.

Glad I'm not the only one. Ill double check the fluid, but I'm pretty sure it's good. Also I've thought about changing the internal filter.

Sounds like converter drain back to me. Mine does it if you just right in, start it, and throw it right into reverse right after start up and it having set for a few hours. if i let it idle for 5 sec or so it will go right to reverse smooth as butter. its done this for years. my worn out t-case does not help the clunk to reverse either

I've heard of the converter drain back on the earlier models but not on the newer models like mine
