My internet connection works as normal on other sites but I noticed that there is an issue on pages where there are a lot of pages over this site.
All pictures appear to have been loaded in but the load symbol still looms around and continues its cirling manner.

Just re-booted the server. Speed has been hit and miss and it has not been restarted since January when I moved the sites to the new server.
The problem seems to be a site in China. While I have mass-banned the IPs from there the 'bots (40~50 of them) are still trying to access the site and slowing everything down.
There are still a number of 'bots from China hitting the site. I'm looking into a software firewall so I can block them at the server level before they can get to the site. Not sure if that will help or not. But I'm not jumping at making a large change to the server if I don't have to.
We are having the exact same problem Rob.. You can limit the # of crawls through the Robots.txt file that will help.
