So a buddy at works dad hauls cars for a living and wants to save some money by not sleeping in hotels. He's got a newer body style cummins and i've seen one with window extensions and a platform in the back seat that made the back seat a large bed. If anyone has any info on where to get these let me know. Thanks in advance. -Garrett

I've seen a few of those inside + out. Looks like a nice setup. But the place I haul for says IN DOT has told them they arent DOT compliant
why would it have to be DOT complaint? As long as you are not sleeping in it while driving down the highway (which would be hard to do) then it shouldn't matter.
I guess I understand the seat type, but who the hell wants to ride in one of those down the road?

its for the driver to sleep in while off duty. DOT man, or obama or somebody says it has to be so many inches by so many inches big. DOT or obama or whoever says it isnt big enough to qualify as a "sleeper" for those of us that have to keep a log book while driving our truck
ah that makes sense, wasnt thinking the log book thing...lol, isnt sleeping, sleeping? Jeeze..who cares if you are in a camper, hotel, font seat, etc.
