was looking around on some other forums and stumbled upon a mixture that a guy runs for sled pulling. 5 gallons of diesel, 1qrt straight 30weight, and 1/2qrt gasoline (octane not specified).

how would this make a difference while pulling??

if "diesel racing fuel" is what you desire Haisley sells a kit it is a 3 part mixture plus diesel

RC nitro fuel is the shiznit :thumb:

Be careful. It separates from the diesel then things get interesting. IIRC there is a diesel racing fuel called "syndiesel". Higher cetane, better lubricity, more power, etc. Each puller seems to have their own fuel concoction though. We used to run mainly stanadyne with some 2 stroke or ATF with a little diesel. Seemed to work well but made for expensive fill-ups. :)

It seemed like when they started testing fuel a certain truck didn't do as well. Thats why I was curious. Although he switched the drivetrain to a different chassis, it should have hooked better. One local boy I know mentioned they could make roughly 50 horse extra with a mixed blend on a 2.6 truck. Idk how accurate those numbers were.
