your driveshaft looks like its rubbing the hoop

The rear one rubbed once when I pulled in the stock class and couldn't block the rear and clamp the springs. You need to atleast clamp the springs to run loops. Trac bars would be best to keep everything in alignment.

Trans tuning is what lets your engine do what you have programed to its fullest extent. You can have the best engine tune there is and it will be limited by the TCM

E.Carter..... that's who:D

Just take out RPM limiting and defuel.

Increase your shift points for your 1-2, 2-3 shifts. If you think you can handle 4th decrease your 3-4 shift so it hits sooner. Sometimes there isn't much time for 4th.

You can play with the torque tables also.

I reworked my torque limiting tables in the tcm. I kept the defueling but increased the torque in the table D5196 from 50%-100% throttle @ 2400 rpms until 3600 rpms.

You can do whatever you want, but I wouldn't listen to what this guy says.

sorry if I offended someone here Josh. I was just stating what I run for sled pulling. I ran all last season with RPM limiting and defuel turned off. My truck has 56000 miles on a stock tranny. Did I say it was safe....... no. But I have had no problems so far.

Looks to me like you were telling someone to turn defuel off, which is a very risky move. I must have missed the part where you said that is what you run. Sorry to disrupt just felt that some of the members would like to know that. I just hate to see people break stuff when it could have been avoided. :)

I don't like breaking stuff either. People were just asking me for pics of my set up and questions on TCM tunes. I guess I never stated "this is what I run, do at your own risk". I was not offering up information to have people break stuff. This is just what worked for me.

As far as the TCM goes, yes you can play with it and get more out of you ECM tune by doing so.

Sorry for the confusion:eek:
