Cool pictures, looks like a ton of fun!!!!!

I get it now.

Looks like you chose an aftermarket sending unit, good luck with that. The crossmember is for the shocks and to return some "shear" to the rear end? Having removed the spare tire members and all 3 of the other crossmembers, i spose you'll need it. As well looks like your running one leaf and an overload, side to side movement of the rear end is being controlled by a panhard or track bar? Maybe just a solid leaf bushing to hold it in place?

Looks great man!! You prolly shaved 250 pounds, very nice:D

panhard ASAP;)

One more crossmember might come out,Its the one sitting behind the torsionbar crossmember.....Not sure yet

Talked to Arias,They seem to think that the pistons are fine?
i should have 10 000 clearance on the pins,i talked to the balancer and asked him to measure the holes and the pins.....but still have not heard back from him!

the pins are brand new GM pins,I cant see them all being out of spec? its been a long time since ive seen the pistons but if i remeber correctly they looked like they where roughed up in the holes and that is GOOD meaning they gone through and checked the clearance and shouldnt be a issue???

It would really help if he would get back with the measurements,so I could either get the pistons sent back to ARIAS or new pins?

the whole thing seem f#%&d up!

Simon, is this the first Duramax that your builder is/has done? I know out here mine was the first they had ever done and it took FOREVER but they wanted to make sure everything was done right. But they were always good at returning calls and I was the same if/when they had any questions. I just wonder if the builder is beginning to wonder what the hell he got himself into? If it isnt his first, then I really dont know what to tell you either!

Hang tough Simon,

Might sound like I am kicking you while down (i am not meaning to) but this crap just takes time. I had all set for January complete... still working on it! I can easily count 4 weeks of parts delivery delays or mismatched wrong stuff for another truck... I got Dodge injectors once....

Good luck Man, I feel the pain and frustration.
