Sick Of High Fuel Costs and Rising Food Costs?

Not sure if any of you have heard of this petition, though I read about it over on a thread at thedieselgarage. So far I signed it, my mother signed it, and just about everyone I can tell has signed it.

I believe in what it is going for. If you dont, then dont sign it.

If you are sick of the fuel situation right now, this may be able to help it in the long run, though at the moment we are probably just going to have to deal with the price hikes.

Last night when I found it, it had ~10,000 signatures, and now it is nearing 13,000 less than 24 hours later. Spread the word, pass it on to other forums, friends, family, etc etc.

Wont make any difference . Speculation and Chinas thirst is the real problem.
Supply is sitting on the open sea in tankers waiting for the Barrel price to go up and then they will come to port .

Can't hurt, but Broker is right, speculation needs to be limited to those companies that can physically accept delivery of fuel.

Our commody markets should not be Slot Machines. They should be legitimate business mechanisms.

If they did nothing but limit the purchase of fuel futures to companies with unused tank capacities of more than 100,000 gallons, fuel prices would drop below $3.00.

Only 10% of our oil comes from the middle east. Fuel demand in the US has not went up sharply, but prices have.

There is only one thing that can cause this, speculation by market gamblers.
